Our skills philosophy
is based very much on a back to basics approach that delivers a solid foundation of core skills that can really make a difference to your riding- whatever level you are at.

We’ve split our courses for 2010 into different abilities, so that regardless of where you are at with your riding there is a course where you will feel challenged without being out of your depth.

Our courses are limited to 6 riders, include personal and video feedback (including a DVD post course of your day and your riding), and are delivered exclusively by ourselves - and as former world cup athletes from both disciplines of mountain biking (downhill and cross country), as well as having nearly 10years coaching experience each, we’ve got all bases covered for whatever you want to learn.

PLEASE NOTE: our ESSENTIALS 1, 2, 3 and Air courses are for ages 18+. If you or the person you are looking to enrol are under 18, please check out our Kids Courses >>

Essentials 3 is aimed at experienced riders that feel that they could benefit from some expert input to progress their riding to the next level.

In this day long course you will learn how to get the most out of your bike from bike set, understand how to move round your bike for optimum control, how to negotiate trail obstacles, successful drop-off's and step ups, and cornering at speed and how to put these skills together to become a smoother, more consistent rider.
We use video analysis during the day which gives you a chance to see how you ride-this will also be edited and sent as a DVD after the course.

This course is aimed at advanced riders who regularly ride the red trails and will tackle black graded trails and Freeride obstacles.

Our skills philosophy is based on a belief in the foundation skills and the dramatic effect they can have on your riding. For this reason we split Essentials 3 into two courses: one for returning Essentials students & the other for riders that have never been on any of our courses before. This way you don't just get repetition & we don't
try & rush through the core (& very important) skills.

We set our courses mostly on Fridays-Glentress can get pretty busy at weekends so it can make it difficult to stop on the trail (and the queue for carrot cake is longer).

If the dates on offer don’t suit then we can arrange other days (including weekends). Learning in a group is advantageous in our experience, but if you want 1:1 we can do that as well as private group bookings.

Mail us with your requirements.
