HISTORY OF THE HUB

The idea of The Hub was born in the dim and distant past-made up of all the places and people that Tracy and I visited and met during our years as international mountain bike racers.

As the twighlight years of our racing careers began to loom we cobbled together our random thoughts of a mountain bikers oasis at the bottom of a hill, sold everything of value we owned and bought a couple of run down portacabins.

The doors of The Hub opened on 31st March 2002 with a lot of help from friends and family-who encouraged, financed, and even helped to build The Hub.  Some of these friends and family are gone but we like to think that a little bit of them lives on with us.

The reputation of The Hub and Glentress has now spread far and wide from unsure and humble beginnings-and it’s all the people who have ever crossed the threshold and the guys that do everyday to work here that make it what it is.
