Our hardtail fleet consists of over 80 Kona Caldera's and is the backbone of the Hub Bike.

Sporting hydraulic disc brakes, Marzocchi forks and excellent components, the Caldera's are capable of handling all of the trails at Glentress and are tough as nails.

The fleet caters for pretty much all heights across a range of frame sizes.

It's important when booking a bike to quote the exact height of the rider(s), as incorrect sizing can lead to potential discomfort or even injury to the rider and damage to the bike itself (see below).

THINGS TO NOTE :

We can only reserve bikes if they are pre-paid. This service is currently only available via telephone (01721 721 736), although online booking will be introduced soon.

Pre-booked hardtails cost £20 per day, £22 on the day.
When collecting the bike, we will ask to retain either a valid credit / debit card and / or photo ID in the form of a driving license or passport (no other forms of ID will be accepted).
A helmet is provided with every hire bike and although not compulsory (yet), we strongly urge all our customers to wear one. Any additional body protection required should be brought with you or can be purchased in the bike shop.
Presently, we do not supply 'emergency' kits. Things like inner tubes, puncture kits, tools etc should be brought with you or can be purchased in the bike shop.
Signing of the hire agreement agrees liability for damages to the bikes that render them inoperable (this includes punctures). We strive to be fair in assessing any damages and will only ask for costs at trade prices. We don't seek to profit from damages, merely get the bikes back on the fleet.
It get's very busy here, especially during Summer and at weekends all year round, so pre-booking is highly recommended. Please be sure to consult the height chart above as bikes cannot be easily swapped on the day.
CANCELLATIONS : Refunds / transfers will only be given with a minimum 24 hours notice period. Cancellations made on the day will not be refunded or offered transfer of hire.
